Small town soul-mates, Angela and Bede, were featured earlier in the year as one of our real weddings. When we heard that these two lovers headed to the island paradise of Bali for their honeymoon we had to get all of Angela’s insider tips for lazy days and balmy nights in Bali.
In Angela’s words:
“We headed on our second trip in just over 12 months to Bingin, Bali. I think the heat has made me crazy in love for the place. Sentimental for the romantic memories from last year, there was no real other option for our own faux honeymoon, a small six months after our faux wedding.
How can you not fall in love every damn day when you’re in a private tropical paradise.”
Where to stay
Moments from the beach and located in the surfing area of Bingin, stay in your own private bungalow at Acacia Bungalows. Fully catered, spend a day in bed in your own slice of heaven, with gourmet food on call.
The best meal
Satiate your appetite after a day of pool side lounging by booking yourself in for what Angela tells us is the best meal she’s ever had at Cuca Jimbaran. Cuca also has a cocktail that lists hibiscus ice, wild honey and lemongrass on its ingredients list, making us wish we could book our flights right now.
Go-to spot for sunset cocktails
With a beach-club vibe Sundara Four Seasons is the perfect place to wile away an afternoon drinking cocktails. You won’t want to leave your spot on the day-beds overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Looking for the perfect way to unwind after months of wedding planning – book yourself in for a coffee body scrub at Mick’s Place. A body scrub not your thing? We recommend trying the relaxation massage which incorporates classic Balinese massage therapy.
